Many of our gowns are crafted from structured fabrics with minimal stretch for a tailored silhouette.
If you are between sizes, we generally recommend selecting the size closest to your largest measurement.
Floor-length gowns are designed with extra length to allow for hemming.

Measure while wearing form-fitting clothing and standing naturally. Keep the measuring tape level and snug, but not tight.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, ensuring the tape remains level across your back.

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline — typically the narrowest part of your torso.

Hip

Measure around the fullest part of your hips, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.

Bicep

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm.

Gown Length

Measure from the top of your shoulder to the floor while wearing your preferred heel height.

Do you offer alterations?

Yes. Gowns of $895 or more bought at sachinandbabi.com or at our showrooms include complimentary alterations, including hemming, by appointment. Altered gowns are final sale, so we recommend confirming your size carefully before purchase

Are Sachin & Babi dresses true to size?

Most styles fit true to size. Because many designs are structured and offer minimal stretch, we recommend selecting the size that most closely aligns with your measurements.

What if I’m between sizes?

If your measurements fall into different size ranges, choose the size closest to your largest measurement to ensure the most comfortable fit.

How long are Sachin & Babi gowns?

Floor-length styles are intentionally designed with additional length to allow for hemming based on your height and preferred heel.

The Mayfair gown in Shell is a portrait of delicate, romantic elegance. A round neckline, framed by short, fluttering tulle sleeves that float softly from the shoulder. A fitted bodice gives way to a full-length A-line skirt that falls gracefully to the floor. All-over floral embroidery of tiny blooms and trailing vines in soft blue, sage green, ivory, and hints of gold covers the gown from neckline to hem, like a garden in fine detail.

The gown is crafted in India tulle, sheer and lightweight, layered over a soft underlay that lets the embroidery stand out. Shell is a warm, natural nude with a gentle blush undertone, a soft, luminous backdrop that makes the pastel florals glow and gives the gown an ethereal, heirloom feel.

Each embroidered panel is meticulously hand-sewn over 185 hours, complemented by 132 hours of machine embroidery, by third-generation artisans in our family-owned Mumbai atelier, reflecting generations of artistry and craftsmanship.

International Shipping

Shipping charges for international orders will be calculated and displayed at checkout and may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), based on your destination country which Sachin & Babi is not responsible for.

Returns

We accept returns up to 14 days after delivery (if the item is unused and in its original condition) and we will refund the full order amount. Please allow up to 30 business days for us to process your return package and all refunds to credit cards will appear within 1-2 billing statements.
